Dr Hayley studied medicine at the University of Leicester before undertaking 5 years of hospital-based medical training both in the Army and the NHS. Following this she specialised in General Practice and has been a GP Partner locally since 2015. She trained in Aesthetics in 2015 at the Harley Institute and has helped 100s of patients on their aesthetics journey since then. Now she is the medical director at Coastal Private GP & Aesthetics working across both the NHS and Private Sector.

Jessica finished her post graduate diploma in nursing in 2007 from Southampton University. She started work in intensive care before moving to practice nursing in 2015. She trained in wrinkle reduction, dermal fillers and microneedling through the Harley Academy. She has an interest in skin and women’s health and has joined the Coastal Team offering both aesthetics and practice nursing. In her spare time, she enjoys running (including ultra marathons), going to the gym and travelling.

Kirsty qualified in Adult Nursing in 2006 working in Coronary and Intensive Care. Kirsty moved into Contraception and Sexual health in 2010. In 2015 she gained a BSc in Public Health Nursing and has a keen interest in supporting families and safeguarding children. She completed anti-wrinkle injections and filler techniques in 2014 at Harley Street. She strives to enhance natural features and boost confidence. In her spare time she enjoys going to the gym, training for the Great South Run and spending time with her two children and two step children.

FAQs

There are a number of medical contraindications to all our treatments. None can be undertaken during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Caution is required with patients on blood thinners, Roaccutane and immune suppressant medications.

Your clinician will discuss the suitability of treatment having considered your medical history and any medications you currently take. As such, it is imperative that you disclose all your medical history on your patient questionnaire before treatment.

We give our clients as much time as they need to ask all the questions they might have. Treatments themselves take between 30 and 45 minutes.

At your free initial consultation we will create a treatment plan that suits you. For our younger clients one treatment of dermal filler or wrinkle reduction (botox) treatment might be all that is needed to get the required result. For other clients it might be advisable to have a few treatments over a number of months to gradually build up the deserved result.

We routinely use topical local anaesthetic creams with all our dermal filler treatments. We also only use dermal fillers that contain injectable lignocaine anaesthetic agent within the filler. This, along with as much time as needed to discuss the treatment, helps minimise pain for our clients.

Our wrinkle reduction (botox) treatments are all carried out with the world’s thinnest ‘invisible’ needles which typically makes this treatment pain free.

Most treatments don’t require any time away from work or activities. Some dermal fillers (especially lip fillers) can cause swelling that can last 24-48 hours post treatment. Skin pen microneedling can cause mild skin redness that can last 24 hours.

With dermal fillers some results are seen straight away but we would typically say 2 weeks to settle and have the full affect. Wrinkle reduction results take 5-7 days to start taking affect and then 14 days to full affect.

With Skin pen microneedling results are best when having 3-4 treatments every 4-6 weeks.

Post treatment there might be some redness, swelling or tenderness. Occasionally some bruising may occur which is usually short term and subsides within a few days. Lip treatments may take a little longer to settle. Severe bruising or skin discolouration should be discussed with your practitioner immediately.

Following treatment with botulinum toxin it is advisable to stay upright for 4 hours.

Avoid make up, alcohol and extreme facial expression for 12 hours after treatment. Sun exposure and extremes of temperature should be avoided for 2 weeks.

Appointments can be rebooked up to 48 hours in advance by logging into the pabau website or contacting the clinic. Within 48 hours the £25 booking fee will not be refunded.

Wrinkle Reduction (Botox)

Botulinum toxin has been about since the 1960s, initially for medical treatment of bladder or muscle problems, and then soon after in the aesthetics industry. Botox is a brand name for the first toxin produced and has been widely adopted as every day term for botulinum.

At Coastal Private GP and Aesthetics we use the world’s smallest needles in our wrinkle reduction treatment making it a very painless treatment. Tiny doses of botulinum are injected into the muscles, allowing them to relax and those wrinkles to disappear. The majority of clients don’t experience any bruising meaning they can head straight back to work or home life. Results are seen 3-14 days after treatment and last typically 3 months.

Cheek Volume

Volume loss in the cheeks is common with age. This can result in sunken cheeks, deep lines in the lower face and sometimes jowls under the jaw. All this makes the face look aged. Replacing the volume back into the cheeks corrects the triangle of youth and improves the contours across the whole of the face.

Lip Volume

With age the lips can lose definition, volume and appear thin. Correcting these changes in the lips with dermal filler presents a more youthful and defined lip which can change the look of the whole face. In addition this treatment is an excellent choice for clients with vertical lines arising from the lip (often referred to as smoker’s lines or lipstick lines). We pride ourselves with creating natural looking lips that enhance but do not overtake the appearance of the whole face.

Tear Trough

Tear trough treatment is treating the under eye area; correcting sunken eyes and dark circles under the eyes. A special dermal filler is used which replaces any volume loss under the eyes which makes the eyes look less tired and sunken.

The hyaluronic acid in the dermal filler supports the skin and structures around the eye smoothing out the area and refreshing the skin.

Tear trough treatment isn’t the right treatment for everyone and so a consultation prior to treatment is always carried out to fully assess the face.

Nasolabial & Marionette lines

The lines that form from the nose to the corners of the mouth (nasolabial lines) and the lines from the corners of the mouth towards the chin (marionette lines) make the lower face look aged and give the whole face a downward expression. In deciding the correct treatment for these lines we carry out a holistic assessment of your face to identify the problem. In some cases volume loss in the mid face (cheeks) is responsible and we may recommend a treatment course involving cheek volume. Whatever the right treatment for you we will always discuss all options and expected results.
